Bennyboymothman Back to yard capturing
I returned type my hols on Friday and as a cozy night was anticipated with a little bit of cloud cover, I arrangement the trap all set for darkness to find.
By the early morning the catch was rather full as well as there was a lot of interest.
The temperature level really did not obtain a lot below 15 degrees all evening in spite of a clear begin to the day at 5am on Saturday early morning.

It was fantastic to see Lime Hawk-moth once more after a 3 year absense in my garden, this usage to be among my commonest Hawk-moths where I use to live and also i ‘d consistently trap 8-10 a year, and this is just my second ever garden instance in 5 years of trapping below.
Additionally the micro moth Rhyacionia pinivorana returned after 3 years as well.

The finest was yet ahead with two new for yard varieties !! One each of Little Clouded Brindle and
Incurvaria oehlmanniella.

That now brings me up to 13 brand-new varieties for the garden this year up until now which is very good thinking about i’ve been capturing consistently right here for 5 years and have a healthy and balanced 592 varieties recorded because time period.
